Dear Max,
It was great having you with us this past Friday evening. Everyone was talking about your ball exhibition abilities. I was particularly moved with your desire to spread the Gospel. That is also my hearts desire of New Life Baptist Church. Everything we do here at New Life revolves around giving the Gospel.
I want to thank you personally for helping us with our Vacation Bible School. Most agree that Friday night was the highlight. If myself or any of our staff can ever be of any assistance to you for any reason, please feel free to contact us.
May our Lord's richest blessings be upon you and yours.
Sincerely,
Lewis E. Wilson, Pastor
I highly recommend Mr. Max Ruppe for participation as a coach for Upward Basketball.
Over the past two years, while serving in the capacity as a coordinator for the Snyder Memorial Baptist Church's outreach to young people who are serving punishment at the Cumberland County Juvenile Detention, I had the pleasure of serving with Max. Max has been a faithful and valuable participant in this very worthwhile program. He is a man with integrity who is very conscientious and competent in his efforts to introduce our young people to God.
Clearly, Max has a heart for helping young people develop in their character and faith. He connects well with youngsters. He is highly skilled as a ball handler and I sense that he loves the game of basketball too. On his own initiative, Max has also set up separate visits, apart from Snyder's program, for himself and others to minister to the youngsters at the JDC. This is a keen example of his dedication.
I am confident that Max will provide an excellent example for the young boys and girls in the basketball program and that they will also learn much of excellent value from Max.

To Whom It May Concern:
The Fayetteville Area Youth for Chriist ministry takes great pleasure in recommending Max Ruppe, ball handler and motivational Christian speaker, to perform in churches, school assembly programs, etc. Max held the Guinness World Book of Records title for spinning the most basketballs at one time in 1988. This Spring, Max and the present 1989 title holder, Dave Davlin, shared their skills in assembly programs for three local junior and senior high schools. They also shared important motivational messages with these students. To say the least, these two Christian young men were very well received.
Max is a young Christian man who desires to share his testimony with young people and he uses his skills as a ball handler to attract an audience. His skills are most entertaining to watch and he involves his audiences in his shows. Audiences have responded very positively to him and listen attentively to his messages. His Christian message is clear and bold when speaking to Christian audiences and when sharing in public schools his message is one of self-motivation, success and saying no to drugs, alcohol, etc.
Max will be working with some of the young people in the Youth for Christ Ministry here in Fayetteville and is presently a member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church. He also takes an active role in the group called SOLE (Singles Offering Life to Others). Max will be travelling to Jamaica this summer as part of a Project Serve team (outreach ministry of Youth for Christ) and will be assisting in the sports evangelism program with some of Jamaica's young people.
Max is desiring to use his skills in many different situations to give him opportunities to meet and share with kids. He loves the Lord and wants to serve Him in the ministry to youth.
Sincerely in Christ,
Mike Martin
Executive Director/Fayetteville Area Youth for Christ.
